Project DescriptionAfter 10 minutes of inactivity of a TS session from Windows Mobile devices, the RDM (RDP Client) logs you off stating that a timeout “set by the server administrator or by network policy” occurred: this is misleading, as many times the problem is due to a limitation of the RDM.
I discussed about a possible approach that works under specific circumstances at
http://blogs.msdn.com/raffael/archive/2009/09/11/remote-desktop-mobile-rdp-client-disconnects-after-10-minutes-of-inactivity.aspx.
The project contains both the VS2008 solution and an already packaged CAB in case IT Admins want to test it directly.
EDIT 9/2/2010: added new build that takes care of the battery-life impacted by application continuing to emulate mouse-move even after user closed RDP session (edited blog post as well).
